Jan – Mar 2023 Fishing Report

The reef fishing was great all the way thru March in 2023.  The yellowtail snapper were very active and hungry.  We only had a few days when they were not cooperating. The predators like sharks, barracudas, jacks and mackerel were anxious to chase the baits.  Trolling this year has not been the greatest but at the end of march we saw the action pick up a bit.  Oddly enough we even landed a few nice mahi in shallow water which is extremely rare. The reefs in spring and summer are usually on fire and the Mahi start to roll in in May or June so let’s see what the future brings.
