What a day on the water!

We had an incredible day today fishing the reef with mark and his family of four, and the yellowtail snapper bite did not disappoint!

We found a big school of quality yellowtails and put together a limit of large yellowtail snapper. The fish were fired up and eating well, making for plenty of rod-bending action and a great day for the whole family.

Yellowtail fishing has been excellent around Key West lately, with the summer reef bite producing some beautiful fish. Chumming the reef and getting the fish comfortable behind the boat made for some fast action once everything came together. (Fish Key West®)

It was especially rewarding watching the whole family get in on the action. Nothing beats a day on the water where everyone gets to bend a rod and go home with some fresh Key West yellowtail for dinner!

Great family, beautiful weather, and a box full of big yellowtails — it doesn’t get much better than that!
