on our last trip

What a fantastic week of fishing here in Key West! We had the pleasure of taking a wonderful family of four out for their first-ever visit to Key West, and they couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water.

The weather and conditions came together beautifully, giving us a great opportunity to explore some of the diverse fishing that Key West has to offer. The family was excited from the moment we left the dock, and the action stayed steady throughout the trip.

We were fortunate to catch a great variety of species, including barracuda, kingfish, yellowtail snapper, horse-eye jacks, and other hard-fighting jacks. Each fish provided its own kind of excitement, from the fast runs and aggressive strikes of the kingfish and barracuda to the steady action of the snapper and jacks.

The yellowtail snapper were especially fun to target, providing plenty of action and some great fish for the family to enjoy. The horse-eye jacks and other jacks put up an impressive fight on light tackle, making for some memorable battles and plenty of smiles.

The barracuda and kingfish added another level of excitement to the trip. These powerful predators are always a thrill when they show up, and watching the family experience those first strikes and runs was one of the highlights of the day.

For a family visiting Key West for the first time, it was exactly the kind of fishing adventure we love to provide—lots of action, a variety of species, great memories, and plenty of time enjoying the beautiful waters around the island.

By the end of the trip, everyone had big smiles and plenty of stories to take home. It was an absolute pleasure having this family aboard, and we’re thrilled that their first Key West experience included such a memorable day of fishing.

Another great week on the water in Key West! The fish are cooperating, the variety has been excellent, and we’re looking forward to getting back out there and seeing what the next trip brings.

Tight lines and good fishing!
